Snow!

I took a walk around the local area this morning, as we had 6" of snow fall, and what a sight - it's amazing at how you want to capture EVERYTHING!

However, I did managed to take over 400 photos, so you'll have to excuse me if they sort of filter onto this blog - there's a lot of sorting out to do.

I haven't touched up these photos, as I'm still unsure of which ones to properly mount and display, but these should give an idea of the wonderful countryside we live in.

The main (ish) road outside our house...

The path walking down to the fishing lakes...

I loved seeing this - the eye wants to follow the path up and past the sign...

This is a box to hold the local fishing information leaflet...

A similar shot to one on an earlier post...

I loved the reflections on the lakes, it's almost like a winter wonderland.

I hope you enjoy these photos!

Great selection. What a difference a couple of weeks makes in a photo (of the fence and path from earlier on your blog to the one today.) Hope to see some more on your blog soon.

Wow, I still like the path and with snow, what a difference. Hmm, I can see you mounting both of those together. The perspective of it is great.

I do love that still reflection of the lake!

really cool shots Stiggy - love the reflections one especially. Didn't know you had a photo blog - I have a Nikon D40X and loooooove it, also have a zoom lens which is so worth the money.

Thanks for all your comment Audrey - nice to know you have the same camera as me!

Jo has bought a 55-200mm VR dx lens for my birthday - maybe you have the same one?

Cheers Karen!

Everytime I go out to take photos now, I'm trying to have a go at something different... albeit some small changes to the setup, but changes none the less.

I hope to take a class at some point in the future, but until then I'll just fiddle about and note what I'm doing each time.

I am enjoying seeing your world through your camera's eye. I can imagine the peaceful setting you have there.

Do you ever get motorcycles roaring along that road?

Sometimes we do Don - in the old days it would have been ME on a bike, but they are both in the garage at the moment.

:(

...and yes, it's very peaceful round here - not always soundwise, but headwise yes!

Nice frost shots Stiggy. I followed the trail here from your comment on Lottie's blog. In the abscence of any chickens, mine is more "photography and occasional veg related waffle". I'm a D200 man, m'slef. Marvellous fellas those Japanese boffins eh!
